Data Visualization and Resource Sharing in Drupal

In this two part talk, Jason Hoekstra, Technology Solutions Advisor from the U.S. Department of Education, will talk about how Drupal is being used for data visualization and resource sharing. In the first half, we'll will talk about a new open-source platform called the Learning Registry and how its used with Drupal to share open educational resources with other web sites and provide feedback data on how they are being used (but not just for education!). In the second half, we'll look under the hood of Data.ED.gov and Partner.HUD.gov to show how Views and other modules where used to quickly build a data visualization portal to support the Open Government Directive.
